Tourism has become an important economic tool for the community. Beausejour boasts about the Superior Inn Motel & Conference Centre that has an indoor pool, 36 rooms, including a room designated for handicapped accessibility. The community is proud to be home to a state of the art racetrack which brings the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships and Double B Agricultural Festival here. Beausejour’s recreational opportunities are unlimited and include an ice arena, six-sheet curling rink, swimming pool, nature and ski trails, golf course plus a recreational hall. A new 30 bed hospital with an attached Primary Care Centre and two medical clinics provide the health care as required. Beausejour has well-developed infrastructure that supports business and encourages growth. The town is the central grain-handling facility for the region.
Beausejour enjoys a stable economy based on agriculture and tourism, with grain production being the mainstay of the agricultural activities in the surrounding area. Rail line service, natural gas, hydro, a four-lane highway, a stable tax rate and a fully-serviced industrial park makes Beausejour an attractive location for industrial growth. Residents are able to enjoy all the amenities and a high quality of lifestyle while living just a short drive from a major urban centre, the City of Winnipeg.
