The Royal Canadian Legion Beausejour Branch #132

The Beausejour Legion Overview

The Beausejour Legion is a Service Organization serving a culturally diverse community. We oversee the growth and evolution of our organization as we honour and remember our Military and adapt to the future, while preserving its heritage.

Over the years, the legion has evolved to serve the community. Today, membership is no longer exclusive to the veterans. The Legion welcomes anyone looking to join the local legion community.

Our common goal is to REMEMBER and help our community. We need younger people to get involved. So become a member, join our Facebook page and make a difference - JOIN TODAY!

Drop in and see us (300 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, Manitoba). We care for our Veterans and their families. And you do not have to be a Veteran to join, as by joining, you give back to your community too.

Our Legion has much to offer such as entertainment, Friday night suppers, bingo, meat bingo, jam nights, meat draws, games such as cribbage and darts, and most important, great friendship.

Supporting Youth in Our Communities

Many Canadians don’t realize that the Legion is one of the largest supporters of community youth activities in the country. The Legion promotes Remembrance to the younger generation and works with schools and youth organizations to keep the memories of our Fallen Veterans alive. The Legion also supports youth leadership programs and activities such as Cadets, Scouts & Guides and youth sports, helping build the next generation of leaders.

The Air Cadet program is very active in communities and often partakes in volunteer work, ceremonies of remembrance, charity, food, poppy and clothing drives. To learn more about the Air Cadet program please visit aircadetleague.com or contact 249 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron at 204-817-1600 or email cindy.buss@cadets.gc.ca

Volunteering at The Royal Canadian Legion

For the Legion, the value of our volunteers is priceless. The Legion is almost entirely run by volunteers.

For members of The Royal Canadian Legion, volunteering offers meaningful opportunities to help Veterans and to show their support. Volunteering through the Legion also offers the chance to give back to your community, meet neighbours, learn new skills, expand horizons, and have fun!

The Beausejour Legion needs volunteers to assist with Friday night suppers and other Legion events. If you have a few hours a month to help out a very worthy cause, please contact us at 204-268-1549 or email entertainmentrclbeausejour@gmail.com

To join our unique Legion, drop in and fill out a membership application - you will be glad you did!
