Emergency Preparedness

Manitoba Emergency Preparedness Week: May 5-11, 2024

Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week 2024 (May 5-11).

This year's theme, "Be Prepared. Know Your Risks", underscores the importance of understanding and mitigating specific risks each community faces. By equipping residents with the knowledge and resources they need to prepare for emergencies, we can work together to build a safer and more resilient Manitoba.

Manitoba Emergency Management Organization (EMO) has created a toolkit of resources, that you can use.  This toolkit includes:

A test to the Alert Ready National Public Alerting System will also occur on May 8 at 1:55 p.m. during EP Week. The test alert will be distributed on television, radio, and compatible wireless devices. For more information on the test alert, visit www.alertready.ca.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping your community safe and prepared. Together, we can create a Manitoba that is resilient to all hazards, emergencies and disasters.
